Welcome to ByteLogic Accounting. By using our service, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Service Description

ByteLogic Accounting provides cloud-based accounting software for UK small businesses, including:

• Bank transaction management and categorization
• Financial reporting (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet)
• Invoice generation and time tracking
• Payroll processing and HMRC submissions
• MTD VAT compliance

2. Account Registration

To use our service, you must:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Be at least 18 years old or have legal authority to enter into contracts
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for illegal purposes or to evade taxes
• Share your account with unauthorized users
• Attempt to access other users' data
• Upload malicious content or interfere with the service
• Reverse engineer or copy our software

4. Your Data

You retain ownership of all data you upload to ByteLogic Accounting. We will:

• Store your data securely in UK/EU data centers
• Never sell your data to third parties
• Only access your data to provide support or as required by law
• Allow you to export your data at any time
• Delete your data upon account termination (after 30 days)

5. Subscription & Billing

• Free tier available with limited features
• Paid subscriptions billed monthly or annually in GBP
• Prices may change with 30 days notice
• No refunds for partial subscription periods
• You can cancel at any time; access continues until end of billing period

6. HMRC Submissions

When using our HMRC integration features:

• You are responsible for the accuracy of submitted data
• We act as your agent for Making Tax Digital submissions
• You must keep records as required by UK tax law
• We are not liable for penalties due to incorrect submissions

7. Limitation of Liability

ByteLogic Accounting is provided "as is". We are not liable for:

• Losses resulting from service interruptions
• Tax penalties or accounting errors
• Data loss beyond our control
• Indirect or consequential damages

Our total liability is limited to fees paid in the 12 months preceding any claim.

8. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement:

• You may cancel your subscription at any time
• We may suspend accounts for Terms violations
• Upon termination, you have 30 days to export your data

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. Significant changes will be notified via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by English law. Disputes will be resolved in English courts.
